This camera is built well and gives a very high quality picture for the money. But beware, this is not a small cam. It was about twice as large as the cams that came with my system which is still no problem if you want the cams noticable. The cam with with shield is around 6 inches long, 4 inches in diameter (without bracket). Also beware that the cam is not designed to change the bracket to the top of the cam so the cam can hang down below the bracket.
The cam has a 16mm lens which means it is setup as a fixed 10X or more zoom. Make sure this is what you need since you lose field of view or how much area you see for that zoom level. There are websites that give perspectives on lens diameters.
The night time IR illumination is very powerful. Another thing to be aware of though, is that illuminating a long distance can be counter productive to pic quality during any fog or misty rain or even "buggy" nights.
