Customer Reviews: works as advertised sort of August 3, 2009 Kimsey Pollard (Atlanta, Ga) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Everything works as advertised with the exception that when viewing over the web it seems to lose its connection and go black every night. Other cameras I have don't do this, and it only seems to happen at night. The picture quality seems poor for the cost. A $100. Linksys has a better picture and almost as much management control (recording, etc.) in its software as the more expensive Cisco, however the Cisco does do ptz and power over ethernet. The Cisco works with LuxRiot software although the camera choice is a Vivotek Pz7151. I would appear the Cisco may be a rebranded Vivotek. The management software that comes with it, free, is similar to others costing >$1000 but it only works with Cisco. For me, I'd probably choose cheaper cameras, ( 3-4 for the price of one cisco) and add power over ethernet adapters for ~$35 ea., spend the money for LuxRiot software and have better quality video and more coverage.
